Supplies:
- Ruler
- Iron & Ironing Surface
- Fabric marking tool (pencil works just fine!)
- Rotary Cutter + Cutting Mat (or fabric scissors)
- Sewing Machine & Thread
- Clips or pins
- 1/2 yard of Exterior Fabric* (washed and dried)
-
1/2 yard of Lining Fabric* (washed and dried)
*Recommended fabric types: cotton or linen
Instructions:
- Cut Exterior Fabric: (1) 12.5" x 36.5" (plain blue fabric in the example)
- Cut Lining Fabric: (1) 12.5" x 36.5" (colorful kitchen accessories fabric in the example)
- Place the 2 rectangles of fabric right sides together. Sew around the perimeter of the rectangle, leaving a 5 inch opening along the long side. Backstitch at the start and stop (turn and sew to the edge of the fabric, as shown).

- Clip the corners (do not cut through your seam!).
-
Carefully turn the fabric right sides out, through the opening. Poke the corners out as best as possible, then iron all of the edges.
- With the Exterior Fabric (plain blue in the example) facing UP, fold the top left corner down to create a triangle. Repeat on the bottom right corner, folding up to make another triangle.
- Referring to the photos below, bring point A to meet point B.
- Clip (or pin) the 2 layers together from point C to point D. Flip the entire project over and repeat this on the other side.

- Sew the layers together, using a 1/8" seam allowance, from point E all the way to point F (on the opposite side of the bag). Backstitch at the start and stop. Repeat for the opposite side.

- Flip the bag "right" side out (or not! it's reversible!) and enjoy! Wash and dry as needed.
